Miyazaki (city)

Miyazaki (宮崎市, Miyazaki-shi) is the capital city of Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan.[1]

Miyazaki is on the east coast of Kyushu.[1]

It has been recognized as a core city since 1998.[2]

History

Miyazaki is the traditional location of the first Imperial capital.

In 1940, the national government built the Hakkō Ichiu monument at the legendary site of Emperor Jimmu's palace.[3]
