Mod (subculture)
Mod, from the word modernist, is a subculture that began in late 1950s London and spread throughout the United Kingdom. Its members wore clothes that were different from normal. It later also changed fashion in other countries.[1] It continues today, but not as much as in the 20th century. Focused on music and fashion, the subculture has comes from a small group of people in London in the late 1950s who were called modernists because they listened to modern jazz.[2]
