Moe

Moe (萌え) is a slang term in Japanese that usually refers to having a very strong affection towards mostly female characters in anime, manga, video games created for the Otaku market.

this term also refers to fictional characters in anime that display cuteness[1]

History

The word's origins are not known.

during the 2000s, the term became popular with Otaku's and it evolved from being a non-sexual desire to a sexual obsession with cuteness.
