Mumbai men's cricket team

The Mumbai men's cricket team (formerly Bombay) has been active since 1865. The team has first-class status, and is organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). They have competed in the Ranji Trophy, India's national championship, since the 1934–35 season. Their name was changed from Bombay to Mumbai in 1996.[1][2] The team have won the championship a record 42 times, most recently in 2023–24. Their home ground is the Wankhede Stadium, in the Churchgate district of Mumbai, which opened in 1975.[3]
