Myint Swe (Burmese: မြင့်ဆွေ; pronounced: [mjɪ̰ɰ̃ sʰwè]; 24 May 1951 – 7 August 2025)[3] was a Burmese politician. He was the Acting President of Myanmar (Burma) from 2021 until 2024. He was also the 3rd First Vice President of Myanmar. He was Acting President of Myanmar after the resignation of President Htin Kyaw on 21 March 2018.
Myint Swe was declared acting president after the coup d'état on 1 February 2021 and transferred power to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.[4]
Myint Swe died on August 7, 2025 in a military hospital in Naypyitaw, Myanmar from problems caused by peripheral neuropathy and Parkinson's disease at the age of 74.[5][6][7]
