Name reaction

A name reaction is a chemical reaction named after a person, usually the scientist or scientists who discovered it. Because there are tens of thousands of reactions in chemistry, name reactions help identify reactions quickly without using long and complicated systematic names.

Some famous name reactions include the Grignard reaction and Diels-Alder reaction.
