Nicholas Ray (born Raymond Nicholas Kienzle Jr., August 7, 1911 – June 16, 1979) was an American movie director. He was best known for directing the movie Rebel Without a Cause.
Ray died on June 16, 1979 in New York City of lung cancer, aged 67.[1]
