Nora Miao (Chinese: 苗可秀; pinyin: Miáo Kěxiù, Cantonese: Miu Ho-Sau; born January 8, 1952) is a Hong Kong actress and martial artist best known for co-starring with Bruce Lee in several Golden Harvest movies.[1]
Early life
Nora Miao attended St. Teresa’s School in Kowloon, a Catholic girls’ school.[2]
Career
In 1968, she met actor and talent agent Ko Chun-hsiung, who cast her in several movies as his leading lady. Her breakthrough came in 1971 when Raymond Chow cast her in The Blade Spares None.[3] She then signed with Golden Harvest and co-starred opposite Bruce Lee in classics such as The Big Boss (1971), Fist of Fury (1972), and Way of the Dragon (1972).
After Lee's death in 1973, Miao and her brother Rickie Chan formed a small production company. She continued to act in martial arts movies through the late 1970s. She made a cameo in the 2010 movie Merry-Go-Round.
