North Woolwich

North Woolwich is an area in the London Borough of Newham, East London. It lies on the northern, fomer Essex side of the Thames but the area was long administered as part of Woolwich and Kent on the south bank. This arrangement was imposed in the aftermath of the Norman Conquest of England from 1066.
