Oberhavel is a Kreis (district) in the northern part of Brandenburg, Germany.

The district was formed on 6 December 1993 by joining the old districts of Gransee and Oranienburg.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms shows the eagle, which is the heraldic symbol of Brandenburg in the top part. In the bottom are two flying swans on green background representing the nature with many lakes. The coat of arms was used by the old district of Oranienburg before the merging, but was never officially granted. It was granted to the district of Oberhavel on May 18, 1994.
