Oedipus Rex (Edipo re) is a 1967 Italian drama movie directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini and was based on the 428BC play of the same name by Sophocles.[1] It stars Silvana Mangano, Franco Citti, Alida Valli, Luciano Bartoli, Carmelo Bene and was distributed by Arco Film.
