Om Prakash Chautala (1 January 1935 – 20 December 2024) was an Indian politician. He was the Chief Minister of Haryana from 1989 to 1990, a short time in 1991 and then again from 1999 to 2005. He was a member of the Indian National Lok Dal. He was the son of Devi Lal, the 6th Deputy Prime Minister of India.
Chautala was given a four-year jail term in a 16-year-old disproportionate assets case in May 2022 by CBI Court.[1] In the process, Chautala became the oldest prisoner of the Tihar Jail of Delhi at aged 87.[2]
Chautala died from cardiac arrest at his home in Gurgaon, India on 20 December 2024, at the age of 89.[3]
