Peterson Zah (December 2, 1937 – March 7, 2023[1]) was an American politician. He was the first President of the Navajo Nation and the last Chairman of the Navajo Nation.[2] In 1995, he began working at Arizona State University as the Special Adviser to the ASU President on American Indian Affairs.
