Phil Alexander Robertson (April 24, 1946 – May 25, 2025) was an American professional hunter, businessman and television personality. He was known for being the founder of the Duck Commander company and for starring on the popular television series Duck Dynasty. He was also appeared on the television series Duck Commander on the Outdoor Channel.[1] He was the patriarch of the Duck Dynasty Robertson family.[2]
In early 2017, after Ben Carson stepped down from being chairman of American Legacy Center's "Fight for the Court" project, Robertson replaced him.[3][4]
In May 2016, Robertson endorsed businessman Donald Trump for President of the United States in the 2016 presidential election.[5]
In 2024, Robertson was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.[6] He died on May 25, 2025 in West Monroe, Louisiana at the age of 79.[7][8]
