"Please Mr. Postman" is the first single of The Marvelettes on the Motown record label. This was the first Motown song to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart.[1] The song was released in the summer of 1961.[2]
The song was also recorded by The Carpenters in 1974. Their single also hit #1 on Billboard Hot 100.
