Prince Philippe of Belgium, Count of Flanders (24 March 1837 – 17 November 1905) was the third child of Leopold of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and Louise of Orléans. He is the younger brother of Leopold II of Belgium, and when Leopold II of Belgium died, Philippe’s son Albert I. He was also a Prince of Belgium.
Marriage and children
In 1867, Prince Philippe married Princess Marie of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. The had the following children: Prince Baudouin of Belgium, Princess Henriette, Duchess of Vendôme, Princess Joséphine-Marie, Joséphine, Prince Karl Anton of Hohenzollern, and Albert I of Belgium.
