The horn toad (Proceratophrys brauni) is a frog. It lives in Brazil.[2][3][1]

Home

The frog lives in low places and on mountains. Scientists saw the frog between 300 and 1100 meters above sea level.[1]

Scientists have seen this frog in many protected parks, for example Área de Proteção Ambiental da Escarpa Devoniana in Campos Gerais, Área de Proteção Ambiental Rota do Sol, Parque Estadual de Santa Clara, Parque Estadual de Vila Velha, Parque Estadual Rio Canoas, Parque Nacional de São Joaquim, and Refúgio da Vida Silvestre dos Campos de Palmas.[1]

Young

The male frog sits in plants in shallow stream water and calls to the female frogs. The female frog puts eggs on rocks at the bottom of the stream. The tadpoles swim in the stream.[1]

Danger

Scientists from the IUCN say the frog is not in danger of dying out. In some places, people change the places where the frogs live a little to make towns, farms, and places for animals to eat grass.[1]
