The plateau smooth horned ground frog (Proceratophrys palustris) is a frog. It lives in Brazil.[2][3][1]

Home

This frog lives on the ground. It is awake at night. It lives in forests that grow around rivers and streams. Scientists saw the frog between 1100 and 1500 meters above sea level.[1]

There are two protected places near where the frog lives, Parque Natural Municipal Da Serra De São Domingos and Parque Estadual Águas Da Prataó, but scientists have not found the frog there.[1]

Young

This frog has young in streams with mud on the bottom.[1]

Danger

Scientists from the IUCN say this frog is in very big danger of dying out. People change the places where the frog lives. There is only some forest still there. People cut down forest to make towns, farms, tree farms, and places for animals to eat grass, to get wood to use and to dig good rocks out of the ground. People also take some wood to use.[1]
