Qingdao F.C.
Qingdao Huanghai Football Club (Chinese: 青岛黄海足球俱乐部) is a professional Chinese football club based in Qingdao, Shandong Province. The club currently competes in the China League One, the second tier of the Chinese football league system.
Founded in 2013 as Qingdao Hainiu FC (青岛海牛), the club underwent a significant change in 2015 when it was acquired by the Huanghai Group and subsequently renamed Qingdao Huanghai FC. Playing in the distinctive red and blue colors reflecting Qingdao's identity as a major port city, the club quickly established itself as a competitive force in League One.
Huanghai achieved its greatest success by winning the 2019 China League One championship, securing promotion to the prestigious Chinese Super League (CSL) for the first time in its history for the 2020 season. While their top-flight tenure lasted only one season before relegation, the club remains a prominent representative of football in Qingdao. The team plays its home matches at the Qingdao Guoxin Stadium (also known as the Qingdao Youth Football Stadium).
