The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (French: Société Radio-Canada), (branded as CBC), is the Canadian public broadcaster for both radio and television. It broadcasts in English and French. The company was founded on 2 November 1936 in Ottawa, Canada.

On November 2, 1936, CBC-Radio Canada was launched.
