Maharashtra men's cricket team

The Maharashtra men's cricket team has been active since 1934. The team has first-class status, and is organised by the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA). They have competed in the Ranji Trophy, India's national championship, since the 1934–35 season.[1] The team have won the championship twice, in 1939–40 and 1940–41. Their home ground is the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, which opened in 2012.[2]

Among noted Maharashtra players have been B. B. Nimbalkar, Vijay Hazare, Chandu Borde, Chetan Chauhan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Rahul Tripathi.
