On 21 February 2025 at around 20:40 (PET), parts of the roof of the Real Plaza Trujillo shopping center in Trujillo, Peru collapsed, causing eight people to die including children. It also left 84 people injured.[1] The collapse mainly affected the mall's food court area and children's play section.[2]
