Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald Kennedy (July 22, 1890 – January 22, 1995) was an American philanthropist and socialite. She was the wife of the businessman amd politician Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. Their nine children included President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and longtime Senator Ted Kennedy.

She outlived four of her children and her husband.

Early life

Kennedy was born on July 22, 1890 in Boston, Massachusetts.[1]

She studied at Dorchester High School, at the New England Conservatory, at Wellesley College, and at the Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart.
