Jewel Faye Smith (aka Sammi Smith; August 5, 1943 – February 12, 2005) was an American country music singer and songwriter. She had the 1971 hit single "Help Me Make it Through the Night". Smith had other songs as well.[1]
She was born in Orange County, California. She died in Oklahoma City.
