Schönau im Schwarzwald is a town in Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is in the Black Forest, on the river Wiese, 35 kilometres (22 miles) northeast of Basel, Switzerland, and 23 kilometres (14 miles) south of Freiburg. It is also the birthplace of Germany men's football coach Joachim Löw.
