Secession in the Philippines

The secession of Mindanao in the southern Philippines, is proposed to split the country, making the second largest island in the archipelago, to under by the former 16th president, Rodrigo Duterte since February 2024. Particularly also in Davao City.[1]

In 2024, the 16th former president, Rodrigo "Digong" Roa Duterte, was announced that the Mindanao is an ongoing for secede the island, except the islands of Luzon and Visayas, According to the local government in the provinces of Agusan and Surigao in the region of Caraga and also Davao City, their were both agreed, while in the nearby provinces are against for making the constituional trial.
