Sfax Governorate (Arabic: ولاية صفاقس Wilāyat Ṣafāqis) is one of the twenty-four governorates of Tunisia. It is in the eastern coast of the country, and includes the Kerkennah Islands. It covers an area of 7,545 km².[1] As of the 2014 census, 955,421 people lived there.[2][3] The capital is Sfax.
