Siruguppa is a city and taluka in Bellary district in Karnataka. It is famous for rice cultivating, most of the districts in Karnataka depend on Siruguppa for rice. Many parts of Karnataka depend on Siruguppa because it produces a large amount of rice. The city plays an important role in the agriculture of the region. Farmers in Siruguppa grow different types of rice, which are supplied to many other districts. Because of its strong rice production, Siruguppa is often called the "rice bowl" of Karnataka.
