Soraya Esfandiary-Bakhtiary (Persian: ثریا اسفندیاری بختیاری, romanized: Sorayâ Esfandiâri-Baxtyâri; 22 June 1932 – 25 October 2001) was Queen of Iran from 1951 to 1958 as the second wife of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
Soraya died on 25 October 2001 of unknown causes in her apartment in Paris, France at 69.[1][2] She was later buried in the Westfriedhof Quarter Nr. 143, in a cemetery in Munich, along with her parents and brother.[3]
