Surprize (ship)

The surprize was a ship that was part of the second fleet in 1792, it was captained by Henry smith who hadn't made the journey before, it transported over 100 pounds of cargo such as food, water and supplies for the colony, it had around 123 convicts 79 of which were male over the age of 20. It began it's voyage on July 23rd for a 147 day voyage to Australia.[1]

The convicts were forced to stay below deck for 10 hours a day.
