"Lithuania, Our Homeland" is the national anthem of Lithuania. The words of the song were written by a Lithuanian named Vincas Kudirka, and the melody of the song was similarly composed by him.[1][2]
The lyrics of the song derived from a fifty-word poem written by Kudirka about the Baltic country of Lithuania in general. Lyrically, the national anthem can be viewed a condensed version of that poem. Shortly before his death in 1899, the anthem was performed for the first time.

Lyrical translation
Lithuania, our dear homeland,
Land of worthy heroes,
May your sons draw strength and vigour
From your past experience.
May your children always proudly
Choose the paths of virtue,
May your good and gains of people
Be the goals they work for.
May the sun over this land
Scatter all the gloom and dark,
Truth and light, shining bright,
Guide our steps forever.
May our love for our native land
Keep on burning in our hearts,
For the sake of this land...
We shall stand together!
