Tennessee's 1st congressional district is the congressional district for northeast Tennessee.
It covers all of Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, Washington, and Sevier counties, as well as parts of Jefferson County.
With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+29, it is the most Republican district in Tennessee and the third most Republican in the country.[4]
