The Beatles, also called the The Beatles Cartoon, is an animated television series. It was about The Beatles band.[1] The series started on 25 September 1965 in the United States on ABC. The series ended on 21 October 1967.[2] The series had reruns until September 7, 1969.[3] 39 episodes were made. The series was shown on Saturdays at 10:30 AM EST from 1965 until 1967. Then, it was shown at 12:00 PM EST. The show had reruns from 1968 to 1969 at 9:30 AM EST on Sundays.[4] Every episode is named after songs made by the Beatles. All of the episodes had plots based on its lyrics. The song is also played in the episode.The series was rerun on MTV in 1986 and 1987 and on The Disney Channel beginning in 1989.[4][5]

The show was the first television series to have animated versions of living people.[6][7]
