The Blip

The Blip (also known as the Decimation and the Snap) is a term used in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to describe the event in which half of all life in the universe was erased by Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet in the film Avengers: Infinity War (2018). This event lasted for five years, and those who were erased were later brought back in the sequel, Avengers: Endgame (2019), through a time heist involving the Avengers.
