The Border is a Canadian drama television series made for CBC Television. It starred James McGowan, Grace Park, Graham Abbey, Jonas Chernick, Mark Wilson, Jim Codrington, Athena Karkanis, Catherine Disher, Sofia Milos, Nazneen Contractor, and Ali Kazmi. The show ran from January 7, 2008 until January 14, 2010.[1]

The show is about a team of customs and security agents called Immigration and Customs Security (ICS) and it follows them as they deal with the security of the Canada–United States border and protect the country against terrorism and spys.[2]

The series was nominated for many awards. At the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, James McGowan was nominated for Best Actor and Sofia Milos for Best Actress in 2008.[3] In 2009, the series was nominated for five awards, including Outstanding International Producer in Drama, Outstanding Dramatic Actor, and Outstanding Dramatic Actress.[4] At the 23rd Gemini Awards, The Border was nominated for 9 awards, winning for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Series and Best Picture Editing in a Dramatic Program or Series.[5]
