The Carter Effect is an Canadian sports documentary movie. It was first shown at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2017 and then released on May 1, 2018 in the United States on Netflix.[1][2] It was directed by Sean Menard and produced by LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Drake, and Adel Future Nur.[3]

The documentary follows the career of NBA player Vince Carter. It mainly focuses on his time with the Toronto Raptors, where he was a star player and the impact that he had on both the city of Toronto and the game of basketball in Canada.[4]
