The Day After is an American television movie. It was first shown on ABC on November 20, 1983. Over 100 million people watched the movie when it was first shown.[1] When it was first shown, it caused a lot of controversy and discussion due to what it was about and what it showed.
The movie is about a fictional nuclear war between the United States and the Soviet Union. It follows several citizens and the people they see after a nuclear attack on Lawrence, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri.
