The Henry Stickmin Collection

The Henry Stickmin Collection is a point-and-click adventure video game. It was made by Marcus Bromander (known as "PuffballsUnited") and published by Innersloth.[1] It was released on 7th August 2020. The Henry Stickmin Collection is a collection and series of the 5 original flash games "Breaking the Bank", "Escaping the Prison", "Stealing the Diamond", "Infiltraiting the Airship" and "Fleeing the Complex" remastered and redone with new features. All of these original games were from Newgrounds. To top it off, the collection came with a whole new game "Completing the Mission". It follows the criminal Henry Stickmin (not StickMAN, StickMIN) who ends up in different endings and timelines with the government, a criminal orginization and a sketchy prison. Other notable characters are Charles Calvin and Ellie Rose (Reginald Copperbottom, Right Hand Man, Captain Galeforce, Dmitri Petrov, Gregori Olyat, Sven Svenssen, Dave Panpa)

"Completing the Mission" is over three times larger than the previous games, and has many more paths for the player to choose.

Quick Story & Facts

The Henry Stickmin series, known for rich story and multi-game references, started in the late 2000's where an animator/game maker named Marcus Bromander made a video titled "The Bridge". "The Bridge" is about a stickman trying to cross a bridge, the video didn't really have any game aspect to it which the next game "Crossing the Pit" would have. In "Crossing the Pit" we play as a stickman that is trying to... cross a pit. The player chooses which item to use and there is no real ending in which you win.

In 2008, Bromander released the first real game of the Henry Stickmin series "Breaking the Bank". "Breaking the Bank" caught the attention of Stickpage who bought some of the rights to it. Following "Breaking the Bank" came "Escaping the Prison" which became popular for having multiple endings, it would be followed by "Stealing the Diamond" which was similar to "Escaping the Prison" but had different medals you could get (now called achievements).

In 2013, "Infiltrating the Airship released" under Newgrounds. It follows Henry Infiltrating the criminal group The Toppat Clan's airship (see more below at Plot) with help from the government. The thing that was special with "Infiltrating the Airship" was that now the different endings leads to its own story and not with the same outcome. In one ending you become leader of The Toppat Clan and abandon the government, in another he gets the leaders arrested with help of Charles Calvin.

In 2015's "Fleeing the Complex" Henry is captured by a prison called The Wall, he tries to escape with help from Ellie Rose, The Toppat Clan or Charles.

In 2020 "Completing the Mission" got released alongside the remastered versions of the previous games. In this game you combine two endings, one from "Infiltrating the Airship" and one from "Fleeing the Complex", then you see what happens in that story following the things you did. With the release of the collection there came a feature called Bios where you can click a character and you'll get their biography. Some achievements were also redone.

Plot

The Henry Stickmin Collection has 6 chapters, referred to as "episodes".

  • Breaking The Bank (BtB): Henry Stickmin attempts to rob a bank in the middle of a desert. Players are given various tools to break into the bank. Regardless of the player's choice, Henry either fails to enter the bank, or is caught by the police.
  • Escaping The Prison (EtP): Following the events of Breaking the Bank, Henry Stickmin is sent to a desert prison. Two police officers bring a package addressed for Henry to his cell. Inside the package is a cake, with many tools hidden inside. Henry takes one of the tools and uses it to help him escape.
  • Stealing The Diamond (StD): Some time after the events of Escaping the Prison, Henry is now at home. He tunes to a news broadcast on TV, which shows his town mayor announcing the grand opening of the new Tunisian Archaeological Exhibit inside the museum. The exhibit features the highly valuable Tunisian Diamond. Henry attempts to steal it.
  • Infiltrating the Airship (ItA): After stealing the Tunisian Diamond from the museum, Henry is kidnapped by the Government. The Government is trying to capture a gang of criminals known as the Toppat Clan. Henry's mission is to infiltrate the Toppat Airship in an effort to bring them to justice.
  • Fleeing the Complex (FtC): After the events of Infiltrating the Airship, Henry is kidnapped again, this time by a private prison facility organization called "The Wall". There, Henry meets Ellie Rose, another prisoner. He may either escape the complex with her, or run away alone.
  • Completing the Mission (CtM): The Toppat Clan plan to launch a giant rocket into orbit from a hidden jungle base. The player chooses two endings together from Infiltrating the Airship and Fleeing the Complex. Depending on the choice of endings, Henry may destroy or steal the rocket (either before or after launch), or help the Toppat Clan carry out their plans.

  • Ellie Rose: Henry Stickmin's female colleague and ally. First appeared in Fleeing the Complex.
  • Charles Calvin: A helicopter pilot who works with the Government. First appeared in Infiltrating the Airship.
  • Captain Galeforce: A captain from the government seen working with Charles and Henry. First appeared in Infiltraiting the Airship.
  • Reginald Copperbottom: Leader of the Toppat Clan. First appeared in Infiltrating the Airship.
  • Right Hand Man: Deputy Leader of the Toppat Clan. First appeared in Infiltrating the Airship.
  • Sven Svenssen: The leader of the Toppat Clan in endings where both Copperbottom and RHM aren't in charge. First appeared in Completing the Mission
  • Dave Panpa: A running joke character in the series. First appearing in Escaping the Prison, later getting fired, appearing as a security guard in Stealing the Diamond, and getting kidnapped by The Toppat's in Infiltraiting the Airship.
  • Dmitri Johannes Petrov: Chief of The Wall. First appeared in Fleeing the Complex.
  • Gregori Olyat: Right hand Man to the chief of The Wall Dimitri. First appears in Fleeing the Conplex

Endings

Breaking The Bank (1 Ending):

  • The Story Begins (TSB): After a failed bank robbery, Henry Stickmin is arrested by police and taken to prison.

Escaping The Prison (3 Endings):

  • Badass Bust Out (BBO): Henry escapes prison through brute force.
  • Lawyered Up (LU): Henry calls his attorney, and his conviction is overturned in court.
  • Sneaky Escapist (SE): Henry escapes prison without anyone noticing.

Stealing The Diamond (3 Endings):

  • Intruder On A Scooter (IOAS): Henry steals the diamond, riding a scooter throughout the whole path.
  • Unseen Burglar (UB): Henry steals the diamond without anyone noticing.
  • Just Plain Epic (JPE): Henry gets the diamond after the museum is destroyed.

Infiltrating The Airship (4 Endings, 1 Fake Ending):

  • Government Supported Private Investigator (GSPI): Henry manages to steal incriminating files from the Airship, leading to the arrest of the Toppat Clan leaders. As a result, Henry becomes a government agent.
  • Rapidly Promoted Executive (RPE): Henry defects to the Toppat Clan and becomes the leader of it.
  • Relentless Bounty Hunter (RBH): Henry brings the Toppat Clan leaders to the Government, resulting in Henry being pardoned for his previous crimes.
  • Pure Blooded Thief (PBT): Henry steals the Romanian Ruby from the Toppat Clan, neither allying with the Government or the Clan.
  • Lightning Quick Larcenist (LQL): Fake ending, in which Henry presents a worthless safe to the Government as "evidence".

Fleeing The Complex (5 Endings):

  • Ghost Inmate (GI): Henry escapes the Wall without anyone noticing.
  • Presumed Dead (PD): Henry is caught escaping the Wall. He is believed to be dead after Petrov pushed his truck off a cliff, but ultimately survives.
  • The Betrayed (TB): Henry enlists the Toppat Clan to break him out of the Wall, but Copperbottom betrays him by throwing him into the sea.
  • Convict Allies (CA): Henry successfully escapes the Wall alongside Ellie Rose.
  • International Rescue Operative (IRO): Henry escapes The Wall with the help of the Government.

Completing The Mission (16 Endings):

  • Cleaned Em Out (CEO): Henry steals all of the rocket's valuables for himself.
  • Valiant Hero (VH): Henry and Charles work together to destroy the rocket, but Charles doesn't survive the mission.
  • Triple Threat (TT): Henry, alongside both Charles and Ellie, manage to stop the launch of the rocket.
  • Special BROvert Ops (SBO): Henry, working for the Government, manages to stop the launch of the rocket and arrest the Toppat Clan leaders.
  • Toppat King (TK): Henry, leader of the Toppat Clan, alongside Ellie, launch the rocket into orbit after confronting Government forces.
  • Toppat 4 Life (T4L): Henry, former leader of the Toppat Clan, causes chaos in a Government military base near the rocket launch site. As a result, the Government cancels the operation to destroy the rocket. This leads Henry to become Toppat leader again.
  • Revenged (R): Henry is rescued by a boat in the sea after the events of the Betrayed ending. A doctor inside the boat repairs Henry's body, and he takes revenge on the Toppat Leaders. The subsequent chaos leads to Henry's death, as well as the death of the Toppat leaders.
  • Toppat Civil Warfare (TCW): Henry, leader of the Toppat Clan, returns to the Airship. Ellie, who he abandoned during the Ghost Inmate ending, tracks him down and confronts him. She explains to the Toppat Clan members that Henry betrayed her, and Henry is deposed. He escapes the Airship with his allies, and Ellie becomes the leader of the Clan. The Toppat Clan splits into two warring factions.
  • Free Man (FM): Having previously worked with the government to arrest Copperbottom, Henry is kidnapped by the Right Hand Man and imprisoned on the Clan's rocket. Henry manages to break free and escapes to Earth.
  • Little Nest Egg (LNE): Henry goes to a tavern after the Presumed Dead ending. He overhears Toppat Clan members talking about using a train to move their valuables to the rocket. Henry boards the train and steals the valuables for himself.
  • Capital Gains (CG): Henry and Ellie find out about the train. They chase it with a tank (obtained in ItA) and steal the valuables.
  • Master Bounty Hunter (MBH): Henry, a government agent, destroys the Right Hand Man with a group of fellow bounty hunters.
  • Stickmin Space Resort (SSR): Henry overhears Toppat Clan members about the rocket plan in the tavern, so he goes to steal the rocket for himself, turning into a "space resort".
  • Jewel Baron (JB): After stealing the Tunisian Diamond and the Romanian Ruby, Henry hears about the Norwegian Emerald in the news, which is kept on the Toppat Clan's orbital station. He steals the Emerald for himself.
  • Pardoned Pals (PP) and Toppat Recruits (TR): After escaping the Wall together, Henry and Ellie are pursued by the Wall's forces. They arrive at the rocket launch site, and enter the rocket. The Government also arrives to stop the rocket launch. Henry and Ellie either join the Toppat Clan, or help the government.
