The Odyssey is an upcoming epic action fantasy movie that is written, produced, and directed by Christopher Nolan. It is based on the epic poem of the same name by Homer. It will be distributed by Universal Pictures.

The movie stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, the Ancient Greek king of Ithaca, and is about his journey home after the Trojan War to reunite with his wife, Penelope.

The movie also stars Tom Holland as Telemachus, Anne Hathaway as Penolope, Zendaya as Athena, Lupita Nyong'o as Clymestra, Robert Pattinson as Hermes,Charlize Theron as Circe and Jon Bernthal as Menanus.[1]

With a budget of $250 million, it is set to be the most expensive movie of Nolan's career. It will be the first blockbuster to be shot entirely using IMAX movie cameras.[2][3]

The Odyssey is set to be released in the United States on July 17, 2026.[4]
