The Queen Is Dead is the third album by the English rock band the Smiths, released on 16 June 1986 by Rough Trade Records. It came after their successful second album, Meat Is Murder, and reached number two on the UK Albums Chart. It also reached number 70 on the Billboard 200 in the United States.[1][2]
