Tide is a brand of laundry detergent and is owned by Procter & Gamble.[1] Since it was created, Tide has been the most popular laundry detergent in the world.[2]
The detergent was created by David “Dick” Byerly, a scientist at Procter & Gamble. He would then call this detergent Tide and would launch it in 1946.[3]
Tide has also been the sponsor for many NASCAR vehicles. Darrell Waltrip, Ricky Rudd, and Ricky Craven all raced for Tide and won.[4][5][6]
