Time in Kazakhstan

The standard time in Kazakhstan is UTC+5:00. However, before March 1, 2024 it used to be neither UTC+05:00 or UTC+06:00. The current time is called Alma-Ata Time (ALMT), but in the past it was called Aqtobe Time (AQTT). Before the change, Alma-Ata Time (ALMT) was used to refer to UTC+6:00. Kazakhstan does not observe daylight saving time, it was abolished in 2005.
