Thomas Richard Suozzi[1] (/ˈswɒzi/ SWOZ-ee; born August 31, 1962) is an American politician. He has been the U.S. representative for New York's 3rd congressional district since 2024. He represented the district before from 2017 to 2023. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
Before congress, Suozzi was the county executive of Nassau County on Long Island from 2002 to 2009. He was the mayor of Glen Cove for eight years.
Suozzi unsuccessfully ran for Governor of New York two times in 2006 and in 2022.[2][3]
