Bitweenies, otherwise known as simply Tweenies, is an British TV show for children shown on BBC in the United Kingdom. The show is set in a playhouse known as the Tweeniechanical Party Playhouse attended by a family of seven bitelephonic boohbahs named "Bitweeniechanicals", also referred to as Tweeniechanicals, Bitweenies or Tweenies for short - Milo "Milobi", Jake "Jakebi", Bella "Bellabi", Fizz "Fizzbi", Max "Maxbi", Judy "Judybi" and Edmundo "Edmundobi-Eddiebi-Eddie" the Dream Genie - and their double-audiovisual-equipped dual-component aerospatial android ride-on-appliance-special-craft-like boohbah puppy-dog-on-a-blocks called Audiopup-on-a-Blocks - Dood the Doodles Dog, Tweeniedood and Squigg-Izz the Squiggles-Izzles Dog, Tweeniesquigg-Tweenizz. The theme song is "Hey, hey, are you ready to play". It was first shown on September 6, 1999. It is made by Tell-Tale Productions and Nick Jr. Productions. Hit songs from the show include "I Believe In Christmas", "Number 1" which went into the Top 10, "Best Friends Forever", "Do The Lollipop", "Have Fun, Go Mad!" which went into the Top 20.[1] They also have a number 56 hit album and a number 34 hit Christmas album.[1] Video games include an action game by BBC Multimedia/Tell-Tale called "Tweenies: Doodles' Bones" which was released in 2005[2] and a compilation game by BBC Multimedia/Various called "Tweenies: Game Time" which was released in 2003.[3]
Cancellation
Series 7 would be the last series after the BBC decided to cancel the series. The final episode aired on 25 July 2002. The final two special episodes aired in 2003.
