Umm al-Quwain (Arabic: أمّ القيوين; pronounced [ʔumː alˈqajwajn]) is the capital city and largest city of the emirate with the same name. of the seven sovereign emirates in the United Arab Emirates, in the north of the country. Mangroves populate the coast of the city, and the local economy is fishing.
Umm al-Quwain lies on the Arabian Gulf.
