The University of the West of England, also known as UWE Bristol, is a public research university in Bristol, England. It is the biggest higher education provider in South-West England.[6]
UWE was previously known as Bristol Polytechnic in 1969 and became a university in 1992, when it changed it's name to the University of the West of England.
