Vela supernova remnant

The Vela supernova remnant is the remains of a Type II supernova that happened about 11,000 years ago.[1] It is home to the Vela Pulsar (PSR B0833 -45) and the Pencil Nebula (NGC 2736). It was discovered in 1960 from the University of Sydney which later in 1968, found the Vela Pulsar. Its appearance is a colorful web-like structure.
