Victoria Anne Kennedy (née Reggie; born February 26, 1954)[1] is an American diplomat, attorney and activist. Kennedy was the U.S. Ambassador to Austria from 2022 until 2025. She is the second wife and widow of longtime U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy, who was the brother of President John F. Kennedy. Victoria Reggie is descended from an emigrant Lebanese family. It was her grandparents who left Lebanon, and their name, Araïji, was Americanized into Reggie. Her mother is also of Lebanese origin, from the Boustany family.
In 2021, U.S. President Joe Biden nominated Kennedy to be the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria.[2] On October 26, 2021, Kennedy was confirmed by the Senate by voice vote.[3]
