Walter Thomas Huston (/ˈhjuːstən/ (listen) HEW-stən;[1] né Houghston; April 5, 1883 – April 7, 1950) was a Canadian actor and singer. Huston won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. His son was director John Huston. His grandchildren are Anjelica Huston, Danny Huston and Allegra Huston.
On April 7, 1950, Huston died of an aortic aneurysm in his hotel room in Beverly Hills, California two days after his 67th birthday.[2][3]
