Wanderers Stadium

Wanderers Stadium is in Johannesburg, Gauteng. It opened in 1956, and staged its first Test match in December of the same year. The ground has a seating capacity of 34,000. It was called the New Wanderers when it opened, because it had ultimately replaced the famous Old Wanderers Stadium, which was demolished in 1946 to be replaced by a railway station.[1]
